This is artwork I've produced for the Ratchet & Clank franchise(PS2 and PS3). Please note that these images are best viewed at a screen resolution of 1600 by 1200 pixels.
I created these Ratchet and Clank sketches throughout 2001. They were instrumental in establishing the chunky look and feel, and in helping set the lighthearted tone of the game. This freeform creative process allowed for some wacky design mechanics like the Groovinator, Inflato Ratchet, The Ryno, The Visibomb, Clank Fu, and other crazy ideas that eventually went into future installments. More importantly though, you'll get a chance to see the process on how Clank was born. Enjoy!
